Film Overseas - Drawing as a communicative tool

As the art Director, of a film overseas in a country in which I did not speak, the language, taking photographs with my iPad and sketching over them was the fastest and most effective way I had to communicate the Production Designer’s thoughts and design concepts to the construction crew. By sketching over photographs I was also able to fine-tune the technical aspects needed to produce the build-outs for the sets.
